Gilles Deleuze is a champion of the arts – but when it comes to photography, the philosopher is a critic. What is modern art in his eyes? Exploring the work of three figures – Marcel Proust, Franz Kafka and Francis Bacon – and the architectural spaces in which they were made, we will find a creative potential for photography that Deleuze didn’t seem to see.
