The Effects of Spatial and Curatorial Arrangements on Visitor Experience within an Exhibition Space Part 2 Dissertation 2017 Sarah Kidd Northumbria University Newcastle | UK The thesis proposed that there is a relationship between space, artworks and visitors’ behaviour in an exhibition. Using observation, qualitative and quantitative data enabled empirical and perceptual experiences to be analysed and compared with predictions of the hypothetical arrangements derived using Space Syntax. The dissertation draws conclusions about how certain curatorial techniques can influence how visitors interact with paintings in an exhibition space. Sarah Kidd Tutor(s) Sebastian Messer
