Urban Renewal and Image Renewal: Ways of seeing and doing regeneration on London’s housing estates Part 2 Dissertation 2017 Jordan Green Cardiff University | UK My research explores how urban change and regeneration processes are informed by particular ways of viewing and representing poverty through social housing estates. A case study of Central Hill in South London, highlights how top-down representations of its communities have been used to influence the wider image of social housing as well as regeneration strategies. It raises deep questions about how perspectives on who the city should accommodate are formed. Tutor(s) Juliet Davis
