Daylight as a Factor for Relieving Agitation in Psychiatric Patients; A case of Institute of Mental Health, Angoda, Sri Lanka Part 2 Dissertation 2018 Kalani Dissanayake University of Moratuwa | Sri Lanka Agitation is the abnormal mental state leading to dangerous activities and behaviours. Lower agitation levels lead to effectiveness of treatment in hospitals, and it’s convenient for medical staff to treat patients. Exposure to daylight can reduce agitation in psychic patients. The results showed, patients exposed to higher daylight display lower agitation levels and patients exposed to lower daylight display higher agitation levels.
