It documents the use of architectural space and camera movement within the works of directors Alfred Hitchcock and Max Ophuls, discussing how the moving camera articulates the settings and architecture of their films. Through this the study seeks to analyse how different forms of camera movements reveal the aspects of architectural space within these filmmakers’ works, determining the nature of the relationship between architecture and film, and how this is perceived by the audience.
