More Neighborhood More Forest Part 2 Dissertation 2022 Cristian Andres Caro Cañon Pilot University of Colombia Bogota | Colombia In the Latin American context, urban segregation is a major problem that affects most large urban settlements. Colombia has one of the highest rates of wealth inequality among countries in the region, so its capital, Bogotá, often struggles to overcome urban segregation. This research proposal addresses urban segregation in a particular site in Bogotá called Bosque Calderón Tejada through the articulation of multiple architectural and urban proposals with the ecological structure of the city, with the aim of converting a vulnerable neighborhood into an eco-neighborhood. , as a container of the city and at the same time as a pioneer in a more sustainable urban development, integrating the main ecological structure to the city and incorporating the community that acts in the participatory design of each of the generated projects, and thus strengthen the identity and appropriation of the territory.This research project analyzes and contributes architectural strategies that establish an urban infrastructure that responds to the vital needs of the community by articulating complementary activities such as the improvement of the road network, the projection of rural productive facilities, the improvement of public space and the development of productive/progressive housing, with a strong sensitivity for the cultural vocation and preservation of the social fabric of the community.
