This project explores how hybrid work has reshaped our relationship with workspace and wellbeing. Titled Hybrid Workspaces Reimagined, the dissertation investigates the lived experiences of individuals navigating the blurred boundaries between home and professional life. Using a combination of interviews and visual mapping, the research uncovers how people carve out physical, emotional, and temporal boundaries to maintain balance in hybrid settings.

The project aims to critically examine the evolving nature of “workspace” and to understand how design, culture, and technology intersect in everyday routines. Rooted in boundary theory and space theory, it captures the complexity and adaptability required to work across multiple environments. The outcomes include a visual and narrative exploration of hybrid life, highlighting the creative ways people adapt their spaces—whether reclaiming corners of their homes or redefining digital presence.

This work offers timely insight into the long-term implications of hybrid working, challenging organisations to rethink how space and support are provided. Its originality lies in blending architectural thinking with social research, producing both analytical depth and human-centred storytelling. The project speaks to wider societal shifts and proposes more inclusive, responsive approaches to designing hybrid futures.
