The Resilient Tomorrow Part 2 Project 2016 Zane Putne University of Portsmouth | UK The project explores potential solutions to contemporary issues: refugee and housing crisis, rising sea levels and inefficient use of materials in the oil industry. It proposes new housing units on up-cycled oil rigs on the Southsea seafront, built as a linear extension upon an existing submerged barrier and connected to the existing forts in the sea. This idea could be applied elsewhere in the world for “sinking” coastal cities. Tutor(s)
