The Textile Tool Library Part 1 Project 2018 Callum Skinner Sheffield Hallam University | UK The “Textile Tool Library” is a response to the growth of Glasgow as a commercial centre which resulted in the loss of the city’s local history, culture and the central role it had in the industrial development of the country. The “Library” aims to remind and re-educate locals and tourists alike of Glasgow’s industrial past and in so doing celebrates the fabric making process which was revolutionised in the area.
