Our urban intervention in Samper Mendoza, Bogotá, reimagines Carrera 25 as an inclusive, vibrant corridor through four integrated projects. The first is a Sports and Recreational Hub, creating accessible spaces for physical activity, promoting health, and fostering community connection. The second is a Gastronomic Experience Centre, celebrating local food culture by providing training, entrepreneurship opportunities, and shared kitchens to strengthen economic resilience. The third is a Creative Integral Centre for Children and Youth, designed to nurture imagination, learning, and play through adaptable classrooms, artistic workshops, and safe recreational areas, addressing the scarcity of youth-focused infrastructure in the neighbourhood. Finally, the Integral Centre for Adults supports wellbeing and lifelong learning by offering spaces for counselling, cultural activities, skills training, and social integration programmes for vulnerable adults and the elderly. Together, these projects aim to regenerate underutilised public spaces, reduce local inequalities, and empower residents across generations. Our approach combines participatory urban design, sustainable materials, and context- sensitive architecture to create an inclusive environment that celebrates community identity while fostering economic and social development. This collaborative vision demonstrates the transformative power of spatial design in strengthening urban life and advancing equity in neglected inner-city neighbourhoods.
