Nuclear Thermae Part 1 Project 2018 Kurtis Gentry University of Liverpool | UK Nuclear Thermae explores how we build the infrastructure necessary to manage the 4.9 million tonnes of radioactive waste the UK will produce over the next 100 years. This project proposes the development of the Liverpool Festival Gardens site into a new bath house and lido for the city. This facility will be powered by a heat exchange process between spent radioactive fuel and fresh bathing water before the fuel is stored in a repository deep underneath the site.
