Factory of the Future / The Industry of Maintenance Part 2 Project 2018 Robin Romei RIBA Studio | UK The building takes an existing carpet showroom in Newhaven, East Sussex and transforms it into a new idea for a factory. Unlike other laboratories, it uses unsterile environments to develop antibiotics. The building is formed from mud bricks and has grass as a roof system. It can withstand rising water which protects local species of plants. Everyone in the town will be involved in the maintenance and working there. Robin Romei Tutor(s)
