Made up from so-called true stories, attention was sought only to get more people to play. Games were free back then from green beans, empty cans, rice sacks, and even daily- used flip flops. As the new lifestyle emerges however, the tales and fun slowly fade away especially in the urban area. Games are no longer being played physically instead enjoyed by many virtually.Kenyalang is an urban transformation centre that elevates the forgotten traditional games of Malaysia. Strategically located in an urban site, Kenyalang incorporates intangible values through public activities, spaces and elements of preserving the traditional games. It is conceptually generated from the making of Wau Bulan - the most famous moon-kite that is traditionally flown in the state of Kelantan. Spaces and programmes are provided in workshops for Wau Bulan making whilst outdoor arenas are designed for playing wau and other traditional games. Overall structure, form and façade are also wau inspired.Kenyalang offers not only public and governmental services for the community in Subang Jaya city but also various social experiences that promote the traditional culture and healthy lifestyle for the year 2030.
