We create a Timber Pavilion to explore cross-disciplinary dialogue through natural material reuse, robotic fabrication, and humanoid interaction. The Pavilion reuses trees damaged by Typhoon Bebinca in Shanghai. Each fallen trunk is 3D scanned, cataloged, and digitally reconstructed to establish our comprehensive material library of reclaimed timber. Through AI algorithms, we developed intelligent matching between Irregular logs and specific pavillion components to maximize material performance.All timber components are processed by collaborative robotics: One robot identifies the components' positions and grabs them according to the digital model, while the other carries out milling tasks. 600 timber pieces were fabricated in 30 days, with VR technology for assisted assembly.Within this pavilion, visitors engage with humanoids by playing a handpan. One humanoid improvises along with the melody, the other decodes rhythm into body language, enabling responsive and adaptive behavior. The interaction demonstrates the spiritual resonance with humans and highlights the potential of multimodal collaboration.This project creates a space where humanoids evolve from imitation to cooperation with humans, reconstructing a symbiotic ethic between humans, technology, and nature.
