A PIECE OF LAND THAT RISES TO CONTAIN A PIECE OF ART...

In order to dissolve the public and the private space, the proposal for a building that weaves the city arises. Even thought it would not be accurate to call "public" a piece of land that rises to contain a piece of art... But how to change a transitory landscape into a permanent one without goin back to emptiness?

In a landscape fractioned by a twelve story building in a patrimony conservation neighborhood built in the 50's, a building that seems to divide a break in the city emerges from the earth. The public space trespasses its limits wich are nonexistent because they are a part of the city construction: city with no limits.

This no limits concept is evident in every corner of the construction and makes of the interior of the construction and makes of the interior of the building a continuous surface that allows the enjoyment of several exhibition rooms including sitting rooms where art workshops will be displayed. Externally, the building pretends the conservation - in its shape- of a sinuosity in the course that leads to it that corresponds to the mountainous topography of the city. In this way, one can suddenly see a building with no limits, a building that seem to emerge from the mountains that surround it, this building supports itself by walls that compound the interior space and that in some places, become the building skin.
