From the Mother Wound to Rebirth: Youth girls rehabilitation center Part 2 Project 2025 Raymond Chalhoub Beirut Arab University - Tripoli campus | Lebanon The architectural design in Al Koura, Amioun, is about rehabilitation targeting young and adolescent girls with the concept ""From the Mother Wound to Rebirth."" It is a landscape for healing and nurturing environments for reflection, resilience, and empowerment that flows with the natural topography. The idea focuses on the circle signifying trauma and healing and the circle that connects the woman's wound. The circle metaphorically stands for continuity, wellness, and protection. Being rooted in nature, it nurtures spaces for children and young girls. It gently embraces the process of recovery, both physically and emotionally. The accommodation zone is designed in three phases according to the age groups (7-12) years, (12-15) years, and (15-18) years to provide proper site environments according to their psychological and developmental needs. Also, a circular vocational area stands full of symbolic unity and continuity for practical learning and skills improvement. The site features a learning and show space, conference and performance auditorium, primary medical health center, administrative and service zones, and a conference and performance auditorium for inspired expression, creativity, and efficient functioning.
