In(n)terpolation describes a potential space between two parameters, the city, and the Inn river.

The planning area in Innsbruck, Austria, is located on the right side of the river Inn, between the university bridge and the Inn bridge.
The existing hard edge, building up a barrier between city and river, is being softened by creating an interpolated landscape. Connecting not only the city with the river but also people by providing public spaces on this riverbank. Also, an additional pedestrian and bicycle bridge evolves out of this dynamization, which ends up in an old town alley and connects both sides. Two focal points of the concept arose as a Forum in the northern and a Podium in the southern area.
By forming the Forum, a place that upgrades the existing market hall with more variations of in- and outdoor, formal and informal market spaces can be achieved.

As an addition, the Podium can be understood as space for art, performance and urban interventions and therefore deals as an intellectual market space.
New levels of human speed evolve that tie this whole area together in all dimensions and connect it stronger to the qualities of the urban river.
