Facilitation and Promotional Center for Indigenous Medicine Part 1 Project 2023 K. Don Nithuni City School of Architecture | Sri Lanka The project aims to respond to the current economic and energy crisis in Sri Lanka as it has caused an upheaval in the medical sector. the facilitation helps to uplift and sustain the indigenous industry through the concept of “humanizing energy”. the center taps into the unutilized skills of the youth, in order to increase production within the indigenous industry and make medicine affordable and accessible to all communities. It will serve as a training center, promoting indigenous lifestyles, and creating awareness to the community. The architectural design project contributes to youth and community empowerment by creating comfortable and familiar spaces, focusing on humanizing energy and preserving the local culture. The buildings architecture borrows from its surrounding, creating a community-oriented space and blending social interaction to create a self-sustaining industry.
