The Creative Sanctuary Part 2 Project 2025 Baran Cicek London South Bank University | UK In the heart of Southwark’s creative district, the Creative Sanctuary offers a calm alternative to the city's relentless pace, a space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with the inner self. This project explores how architecture can support emotional well-being, creativity, and community in an age shaped by rapid change and automation. As AI frees us from routine, it opens space for deeper human experience. The sanctuary responds with a sequence of flowing spaces, communal and intimate, that invite stillness, connection, and renewal.Guided by biophilic principles, the design uses natural materials, soft light, and textured surfaces to soothe the senses and reawaken our bond with nature. At its core is a modular triangular system: prefabricated, adaptable, and sustainable. This structural language allows the sanctuary to evolve organically over time, mirroring the shifting needs of its users.More than a retreat, the Creative Sanctuary is a philosophy. It proposes a future where architecture fosters balance between technology and humanity, supporting not just what we do, but who we are becoming. Tutor(s) Federico Rossi Marco Vanucci
